The Revolution of E-Books

Few months ago, I got an invitation from a friend for an online reading club where we are supposed to read an e-book. I accepted the invitation then read the book introduction. It was interesting where I thought that I will enjoy it .

Two weeks later, I started losing interest toward reading at all. I felt a little bit unhappy because it is weird how I lost interest rapidly although I liked it at first. So, I thought deeply of the reason, then I figured it out that I might get the interest back if I get the paper copy of the same version. And surprisingly I did.

After completing the paper book, I came up that I truly prefer and enjoy it upon the e-book and that summarize few points that I realize and didn’t like when reading the e-book.

At the beginning, because I was really interested to complete the book, I kept reading day and time till I got a dry eyes. I believe that with the over use of e-book, my vision health  might be effected badly. Exposing the eyes to a certain level of radiation on the screen for a long time might effect the eyes on the long run.

Moreover, I reached out that highlighting and commenting on my favorite part in each page is not likable on the e-book as it is on the paper book.

I could say that I’m a traditional person who loves paper to acquire and absorb the first concept . Also, a clutch pencil is a friend in need that is in the middle of the book as a book mark and a helpful assistant to note down a point of view. Moreover, I love the texture, smell and feeling of each paper that I flip to see what is the next paper hold for me.
